this week at market!


Hello from Pitchfork & Crow~

It’s the weekend once again which means tomorrow is the Salem Saturday Market.  Here’s a selection of what we’ll be bringing to market:

  • Butternut Squash
  • Cabbage
  • Cauliflower

  • Chicory
  • Delicata Squash
  • Kale
  • Leeks
  • Lettuce
  • Pumpkins
  • Radicchio
  • Tomatillos
  • Turban Squash

We’re down to the last two weeks of the Salem Saturday Market.  Back in March when we began planting and planning for the season, it was difficult to imagine the end, but here we are.  We’re harvesting the last of what we have in the field and bringing the last of the winter squash out from its storage in the greenhouse.  We’ve harvested our meager supply of brussels sprouts for their market showing this week.  Of course we look at our offering and wish we had garlic and potatoes, broccoli, carrots, more leeks.  But then we’re reminded of how much we’ve accomplished in the last few months and know that next year will be even better.  The weather forecast is for a dry day, so come on down to the market and help us close out the season.

We hope to see you Saturday sometime between 9am and 3pm.  The Salem Saturday Market is located at the intersection of Summer and Marion streets NE in downtown Salem.
