this week at market {september 17}

Hello from Pitchfork & Crow ~

We’re headed to the Salem Saturday Market tomorrow!  Here’s a selection of what we’ll be bringing to market:

  • Apples
  • Basil (Sweet & Thia!)
  • Broccoli
  • Chard
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Cooking Greens
  • Green Beans
  • Kale
  • Peppers
  • Potatoes
  • Salad Mix
  • Spicy Black Radishes
  • Summer Squash
  • Tomatillos

Did you notice the organic sign out in front of our booth last week?  We hadn’t displayed it this season, while we waited for our organic plan to be reviewed and for the new fields to be inspected, but word came through last Friday evening that once again we’re officially certified organic!  Of course the only thing that changed with our certification notice was the piece of paper, but we’re glad to be able to use the word once again.  As you know, we’re committed to organic farming and believe in the importance of the process of planning for the season, keeping records of everything we do, thinking about what’s best for the land, and having all of those things be inspected by a third party.  We think you value the process too, and we hope that’s one of the reasons you choose to support us.  So, come down to market tomorrow and stock up on your week’s worth of organic produce!

We hope to see you Saturday sometime between 9am and 3pm.  You can find us at the Salem Saturday Market near the intersection of Winter and Union streets in downtown Salem.

Thanks!
